About LOUCA
LibreOffice Conf. Asia x UbuCon Asia 2023 (LOUCA23) is an event organized by the LibreOffice ID Community and Ubuntu ID to bring together Linux and Open Source Software (OSS) activists, contributors, users, communities, and businesses in the Asian region. There are several types of activities that will be held at LOUCA23, including; (a) workshop activities, (b) keynotes, (c) parallel classes, (d) panel discussions and other activities related to LibreOffice and Ubuntu. Discussion topics on OSS technology developments that include Linux and hardware, graphics and multimedia, community and contributions, system administration, IaaS and PaaS clouds, Internet of Things (IoT), desktop environment, office and productivity, security, education, science and engineering, as well as software development, will also color this activity. LOUCA23 will be held in Indonesia to be precise at the Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta City, Central Java. This event will target as many as 500 participants from students, academics, professionals, government agencies, NGOs, communities and open source activists and companies.
Logo & Mascot
LOUCA23 organizer privided the official logo that we will use to represent LOUCA23 activities in each activity publication media. The logo is released under a CC BY-SA 4.0 license so you can use it for purposes of supporting LOUCA23 activities. Please refer to the Github repository to download the source files.
Besides the logo, we have also prepared a mascot that will accompany you during LOUCA23 activities. Say hello, 'Kebo Bule'! Kebo Bule is a royal animal of the city of Surakarta/Solo Raya which is a buffalo with high historical value.
We are preparing various poses and variants of Kebo Bule to be your companion in welcoming the LOUCA23 activities. Don't forget to say hi to him the next time you see him at LOUCA23!
Venue Details
This year, Indonesia has the opportunity to host the LibreOffice Conf. Asia and UbuCon Asia. LOUCA23 is planned to be held at the FKIP Hall (Building F) UNS, Surakarta, Indonesia. In collaboration with Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta (UNS) as the venue provider.
Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) is a state university established on March 11, 1976 in the city of Surakarta. Sebelas Maret University has a vision, mission, and goals that are used as guidelines in organizing educational activities, namely "To become a center for the development of science, technology, and art that excels at the international level based on the noble values of national culture."
The implementation of LOUCA23 activities is in collaboration with the Informatics and Computer Engineering Education Study Program (PTIK) and the Informatics Engineering Education Student Association (Mikroptik) UNS.

Organizer And Contributor
LOUCA23 is organized collaboratively by the LibreOffice Indonesia Community, Ubuntu Community, Paguyuban Linux Solo, and in collaboration with Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta as the venue provider.

Code of Conduct
To provide safe environment for every participants, We’ve adapted UbuCon Asia Code of Conduct and Ubuntu Code of Conduct. Both applies to anyone participating LOUCA23 event. Make sure to read both Code of Conduct carefully before participating. Violation of the Code of Conduct may result in sanctions or expelling from the event if necessary.
